July 05, 2007Vail Sun article, with an unfortunate headline: Coalition Unhappy with Plan

June 21, 2007
- As noted at the regular Community Meeting last night, the Rocking K South block plat has been revised (in response to Pima County comments) and resubmitted. We have reviewed the county's project file and will be posting copies of the county comments and DVI responses here during the week of June 25-29.

June 14, 2007 - Based on community input, the Board of Director's has sent a letter of general approval to Diamond Ventures. It also includes a list of requests and proposals that RVC feels are in need of further consideration. You can download the letterPDF here. Please email any additional comments to RVC President Chuck Stury.

June 10, 2007 - Diamond Ventures has provided the following images for reference purposes. "Thank you" to Diamond Ventures for making these available!

RVC recognizes that Diamond Ventures, Inc. has concerns about community acceptance of future changes. The key to any development is that people understand the process, and that changes  to the project will occur as it moves through various stages of design and jurisdicational approvals. By providing these images at this time, dated and with appropriate caveat(s), RVC hopes that the accessibility to the information and transparency of the process will be a positive for the community and, subsequently, DVI. It is our intention to provide regular updates as the process moves forward; please check back on a regular basis.

Except for 'Block Plat 2007', these are all from the April, 2007, Community Meeting presentation.

Relative to the "Rocking K South Vision" slide, immediately above, and in light of RVC's efforts to encourage Diamond Ventures to design the Rocking K South development in keeping with Rincon Valley in general, we encourage area residents to submit photos, drawings, writings, or anything else that communicates their own visions and impressions of Rincon Valley. What does Rincon Valley mean to you? What makes it special?

Please email your visions to info@rinconvalley.org, or send them via physical mail to:

Submitted items will be used to help convey the community’s feelings, desires, and wishes to Diamond Ventures, relative to Rocking K South.

April 18, 2007 - Diamond Ventures, Inc., presented their current plans for the Rocking K South development, south of Old Spanish Trail, at our April Community Meeting. On April 24th, RVC requested nine of the slides / images from their presentation so that we can share them with the community here; Diamond Ventures is still contemplating our request. You can learn more about the existing, underlying Rocking K Specific plan by selecting this link.
